Yesterday I popped along to the ignite100 accelerator Demo Day in London.

In their words:

ignite100 is a mentorship-led accelerator program for start-ups but with a big £100,000 difference. We provide seed capital, office space and mentors, and the runway necessary to sustain momentum after the end of the acceleration programme. ignite100 comes in the shape of an intensive 13 week programme based in Newcastle in the North East of England

Here is a quick summary of the nine teams that presented.

  • Lots of solutions for store and taking payment, but not much for managing inventory and managing orders
  • Wrong inventory kills cash flow
  • 27 paying customers – average life time revenue £1.100, 20% m-o-m revenue growth
  • Integrating other SaaS channels to handle multi channels orders – next integration shopify
  • Looking for £300k funding

  • Connecting sports fans around the world.
  • Live sport generates massive amounts of real time content but fragmented across different social platforms

  • Focus is reducing the cost of fund raising online
  • Donor profile allows the charity to specify who to target
